Types of Ski Insurance
Mainly there are two types of insurance coverage
General travel insurance
General travel insurance policies to cover costs
of the trip in the event of unexpected cancellations
such as illness, and health/medical insurance
coverage in case of a skiing accident where
medical attention is necessary.
Comprehensive travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance coverage is generally
a good value, at 5-7% of your overall trip cost,
and typically includes emergency medical evacuation
coverage - something that may be critical to
skiers and snowboarders if you have to be hauled
off mountain, or rescued from off-piste terrain
in a helicopter.
